NOTICE FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION CHILDREN AND PARENTS
23.05.2020

Dear children and parents,

I was delighted to be able to offer a Mass on Saturday 16th and 23rd for the boys and girls who were due to receive their First Holy Communion on those dates. Even though we were not able to celebrate the event in the Church, I hope it gave some comfort. Please God when large gatherings in the church are permitted we will be able to celebrate the event. It is impossible to predict when this might take place. Guidance will come from the government and the Archbishop when we can hope to celebrate the First Holy Communion.

I want to thank your teachers for all the work that they put into the preparations: Ms Kate O'Connor, (Sutton Park and Burrow) and Ms Aoife Breen and Mr Ross Duggan. They were very disappointed too, that they could not celebrate this special day with you.

In the meantime I wish you all well. On Sunday 14th June, the Feast of Corpus Christi (The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ), I will offer a special Mass again for the First Communion Children, as it was to be last 'Do This in Memory' Mass for the year.

I look forward to meeting you all when possible.

Fr. Liam
