New Archbishop for Dublin
01.01.2021

Pope Francis has appointed Bishop Dermot Farrell as the new Archbishop of Dublin. The announcement was made by the Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Sean McDermott Street on 29th December.
May God's Holy Spirit guide him in this new role.
We give thanks for the ministry of Arcbishopt Diarmuid Martin.
May God grant them both health and strength as they embark on new pathways in their lives.

The installation of the new Archbishop has been tentatively set for 2nd February, the Feast of The Presentation of The Lord in the Temple. This is subject to whatever guidelines will be in place at the time to stem the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
